My passion for investing began as a boy when visiting my dad's office at Daly & Company on weekends. I began filing statements and trade confirmations, and
converted our paper system to microfilm. Over time I learned to use the teletype machine that transmitted wires and stock orders to the New York Stock Exchange.
I learned margin posting and trade settlement from our dedicated staff. We made a market in great local companies. I bought my first stock at age 13.
I've always strived to create a family business environment like Daly & Co.: Like-minded professionals dedicated to helping families succeed financially through
planning, saving, and investing. Delivering personal, sound advice to our clients in a service-minded culture is our constant theme in the ever-changing world
economy. My 25 years of offering professional advice, and 45 years of personal investing, provide a unique background and historical perspective to help clients
make wise financial choices. We are humbled that so many would entrust us with that legacy, and we take it very seriously.
Continuous improvement and ongoing education is essential. As a CIMA® (Certified Investment Management AnalystSM) I've learned about changing trends and best
practices in our industry with the goal of passing on this knowledge to clients. My training at Stanford in psychology and economics proved more relevant to the
task than I realized at the time.
Giving back is an important part of our practice's culture. I serve as a board member on the H.W. Morrison Family Foundation, whose generous grants have helped
many Idahoans with worthy projects. We're currently involved in the renovation of Ann Morrison Park, which was named for my great-great-aunt, Ann Daly Morrison.
I just completed a rim-to-rim hike of the Grand Canyon, and my wife Vickie and I enjoy McCall weekends. Our three adult children reside in Colorado, Idaho, and California.
